Meeting a newborn is always a magical moment for me. Their little features, so defined and different from the last, make me wonder how they will look and who they will be as an adult. Seeing their perfect, tiny little fingers and toes reminds me that one day they might create a masterpiece, or help someone live their life fully again. It is incredibly moving to watch their parents gaze at them in complete love and awe. This work I do is not about capturing a moment in time. It’s about capturing years of struggles, joy and love that lead up to this moment. This work is an honor, through and through.
OK, sappiness is over. hehehe So thankful we were able to squeeze in this little sweetheart. Zoey has yummy rolls, an adorable head of hair, and the cutest little expressions! Her Mama wanted lots of neutral colors, textures, and detail images. Check. Check. And Check! We even got to play with natural light in the studio. LOVE changing things up, especially with a subject like this:
