Samuel, who prefers to be called Bom Bom by apparently everyone except me, is a warrior. He’s fighting, and he’s winning. Not only is he kicking some Leukemia a@$, he’s also winning the hearts of many. It didn’t take long to realize how easy it is to love this little man. Biggest heart for a 4.5 year old I’ve ever met! He repeatedly asked me to put my camera down so I could join in the fun at his Aunt’s ah-mazing home. He loved on his parents with the heart of a man filled with life experiences. He even stopped mid fun to help his little sister with her water bottle. Love this guy. And then there’s his big brother – HELLO HANDSOME! T’s a sneaky guy, always watching me… ready to do what I needed, and giving me his funny little looks along the way. Totally playing with me in a way that was fully respectful of the job I was there to do. And oh. my. goodness. how he loved on his Mama. Seriously ready to bring him home with me! And little Miss Personality, S. had me giggling the whole time. Gorgeous and animated – the icing on the cake.
Speaking of cake, MAMA CAN BAKE! This amazing woman, going through the most challenging time in her life, brought me cookies. Let’s just say that some of them made it home. She’s busy handling her new normal right now, but if you are looking for the best baked goods around, stop by her website: www.dollydoos.com YUM!!!!!!!!!!!

And Dad, keeping the mood light and the fun non-stop. He’s definitely a rock for his family to rely on, or jump on, or kiss on.![]()

Samuel is responding well to treatments, but the road ahead will be long and difficult. You can follow his story and help support this wonderful family on facebook HERE or stop by Samuel’s very own website STAYING STRONG FOR SAMUEL. It’s the love and support of others that make life’s challenges easier to bear. Trampolines help, too. ![]()
